Easyling release notes April, 2026
Welcome to episode 70 of the Easyling release notes podcast with me, the anonymous author behind the keyboard and… well, nobody else, other than the three dogs around me. Maybe the podcasty intro wasn’t a smart idea. Let’s just stick to telling you about all the things we added to Easyling. There are a lot of small ones this month so make sure to read below the fold to see them all.
More AI for ContentGuard
ContentGuard is the combination of multiple systems that work together to ensure that you only translate the content that’s actually relevant for you. One of these is based on a large language model. When it comes to classifying content they tend to perform very well. However, they perform their best when you give them context about the website in question. This can be a challenge to write yourself, so we added the option to generate a well-formatted prompt based on our latest experiments to ensure it performs the best it can.
Additionally, this AI prompt can now receive the HTML tag that the given text was in as well as the HTML classes it had. This context can further aid in classification.
Miscellaneous
As usual, we have a lot of small changes that are worth mentioning.
- Dashboard 3.0.
- When you open a link pointing to a specific work package, the UI will now automatically scroll to that one.
- We added a ↻ “Reload work packages” button to the bottom-right of the Work Package Set selector dialog.
- Based on feedback that users couldn’t find it, we better highlighted the Advanced options in the Crawl wizard.
- Delete entries is now available on the new Dashboard.
- We added the “e-mail notification” option to the Teams screen. This moves it closer to feature parity with the old Sharing settings.
- It’s now possible to manually submit files to Dropbox from the Export section.
- We improved the algorithm that converts DOCX files to HTML for our document translation features. Formatting is better retained this way, especially for tables.
- We improved the way dates can be selected in the Statistics section to better account for edge cases around the limit of 100 days’ worth of data at a given time.
- The way the Publish wizard handles domains was improved.
- We fixed a bug where it was possible to quickly click on the button for Project notes. This would open it multiple times, which is now restricted to just one.
- We found and squashed a bug where changing the project while on the Advanced settings screen wouldn’t actually change it.
- New Workbench
- We enhanced the sidebar’s layout to make suggestions cleaner.
- The comments dialog was showing literal
<br/>tags instead of line breaks. - Segments can now only be assigned to the next workflow.
- Backend
- We fixed an issue where an incorrect endpoint was used for our Gemini integration.
