Easyling release notes May, 2025
We May have had a month when there were only a few visible changes. I May also be recycling intros from two years ago. This time we focused on bugfixes in the backend and the Workbench. While not flashy, you can now expect our systems to be even more reliable than before. The full details are below the fold.
Repeatable headers
Some headers, like Set-Cookie
or Link
, are repeatable, meaning they may appear more than once in a response. Previously, when setting them as Overridden Response Headers, previous values would have been obliterated. This could be a problem when the original server set cookies and you need to set additional ones to signify data to the proxied site. One common use case for this is to indicate a language preference to ensure the client is aware of it.
With this month’s release, you can set the above headers as overrides in the Advanced Settings screen, and the new values would be added to the response, instead of replacing existing values, allowing you to retain server-side cookies while setting custom new ones.
Miscellaneous
We also have smaller fixes this month.
- We updated our XTM integration to be in line with their new changes.
- We updated the warning message that the dropdown language selector displays when it can’t be injected because the selected class is missing.
- We tweaked the UI for Mass Link Replacements to ensure that the placeholder examples are appropriate.
- A bug was squashed that sent the Workbench into an infinite loop when filtering for externalized entries in the All entries view.
- We also tweaked it to ensure the Highlight view displays the correct language when you change it via the selector near the top.
