Easyling Release Notes - end of 2019, early 2020

We have been busy with continuing the migration of several features to our new Dashboard 2, some unchanged while others in an improved format. Let’s take a closer look! New cards under Project Overview The Project Overview section has been extended with several new cards. We migrated the Staging domains settings and also the Miscellaneous options from the old Dashboard without any changes. For a better summary, we added a new card where the last finished crawl and the next upcoming/active crawl are visible.

Summer is almost around the corner, at least according to the calendar. During the spring, we have been busy with proceeding with Dashboard 2, transferring more and more features from the old interface while also adding some useful new subfeatures. This release includes a brand new and redesigned Publish Website UI, target language management, and a new Crawl Log Visualization & Filtering ability. Also, please note that the Easyling Master Class has been moved to 2019-07-11!

Happy New Year to All! In the last quarter of 2018, we have continued to migrate Easyling’s features to the new user interface. Check them out! Project Overview: The first design of the new Project Overview, named Dashboard has been added on the old frontend. With that, the linked Project Dialog became part of the Overview, with better usability. With the old crawl dialog’s deprecation, some of the features from the previous Content/Discovery UI have been moved here - they are, for the most part, independent of the Crawl Wizard, but until we can find them a better home, they will reside in the Overview.

During the past 6 months, we have worked heavily on a new Easyling Dashboard experience, both in terms of technology stack in the background, and UI/UX/features as well. First in stealth mode, but now coming to the spotlight, the redesigned new frontend is publicly available. Not just with a new look, but also with some powerful and useful features are added. We are longing for your feedback on these features, as well as any feedback on the route to take while gradually migrating all the other ones to the new Dashboard.

As another month goes by, so does another round of development for the Proxy. Along with some minor bugfixes and enhancements, we have rolled out the ability to use the Highlight View with work packages, as well as serving outdated content to search spiders. Highlight View with Work Packages While we have long had the ability to display the contents of a given work package in the List View, it was only recently that we were made aware of a use-case where the Highlight View needed to function with work packages.

With the new year in full swing, so is development at the proxy. This month, we rolled out a new beta feature completing our Continuous Delivery For Translations pipeline, as well as the option of avoiding population of MT-entries in the Translation Memory. See the full details after the jump! Machine Translation and TMs We have had both machine translation integration, as well as TM-handling for a while now. One of the integral features of TM-handling was the ability to populate the contents of the current project and its translations.

Preparing for Christmas and the New Year, we have released a host of small tweaks and features. See the details after the jump! data-locale for Language Dropdown Included in the drop-in language dropdown is a data-locale attribute. Customers who want to customize the dropdown using injected/included CSS rules will find this attribute useful in filtering the individual dropdown elements based on the target locale. Tweaks and fixes Over the month, we have improved our handling of ZIP errors during import, made changes to how Auto Pre-Translate emails are structured, and quashed an edge case in how the Workbench segments certain entries.

Easyling Release Notes - 2017 November

November has passed uneventfully in Budapest, and in gearing up for the holiday season, the Translation Proxy team has put out a few new features working behind the scenes. The system is now more stable when handling ASP.NET pages, able to handle UTF-16/32 pages without a hitch, and in a little housekeeping, you can now request Support to remove pages of a given status code from the project.
